Below are different versions of morning and night prayers. The Ehugbo language versions are followed by the English language translations.
EKPERE UTUTU (MORNING PRAYER)
Jookwa Chineke, n’uraa mpavuuru taa! Biko, chebem taa! Yerim eka na mu emekwe ihe ojoo taa! N’eha Jeeso! Amen!
Thank you God, for my waking up from sleep today! Please, protect me today! Help me not to do bad things today! In Jesus name! Amen!
EKPERE ABALISI (NIGHT PRAYER)
Biko Chineke, goziem n’abalia! N’eha Jeeso! Amen!
Please God, bless me this night! In Jesus name! Amen!
Biko Chineke, gozie ayi n’abalia! N’eha Jeeso! Amen!
Please God, bless us this night! In Jesus name! Amen!
Chineke! Biko goziem ma nrahi-ura n’abalia! N’eha Jeeso! Amen!
God! Please bless me when I am asleep this night! In Jesus name! Amen!
Chineke! Biko gozie ayio-ohu, ma ayi rahi-ura n’abalia! N’eha Jeeso! Amen!
God! Please bless all of us when we are asleep this night! In Jesus name! Amen!
